Purpose

This Discovery Project is designed to give you a real-world snapshot of the kind of work you’d do as a Chief Content Writer at Flow State. We’re looking for clarity of thought, platform fluency, creative intuition, and the ability to translate deep ideas into content that performs.

For this project, you’ll be using our Intrinsic Motivation Video to draw content from.

Task 1 – Platform-First Writing & Social Strategy

Objective

Assess your ability to craft platform-native, high-engagement content and identify what’s currently resonating in the ecosystem. This task blends research, writing, and strategic awareness — exactly what you’ll do week-to-week at Flow State.

‍Find five recent tweets (posted within the last 30 days) from large creators +100k followers aligned with Rian Doris and Flow State’s themes — neuroscience, productivity, flow, and performance.

Write a reply tweet under each one that contributes genuine insight, expands the conversation, or reframes their idea through our flow research.

✅ Content Creation:

‍Script x2 validated Instagram Reels (under 60 seconds) based on the Intrinsic Motivation video. The structure, pacing, or format should mirror proven viral Reels from another creator — include the example link or reference and briefly explain why you modeled it that way.

Also, write 6 single "X" posts derived from the video and 1 "X thread" derived from the video

Task 2 – Scientific Synthesis

Evaluate how well you can translate neuroscience and flow research into simple, visually engaging ideas that perform on professional platforms.

Using insights from the Intrinsic Motivation video, create a LinkedIn carousel post aimed at leaders and knowledge workers. The post should teach one powerful, science-backed idea in a way that’s both credible and easy to digest. Outline each slide as text only — focus on the copy, pacing, and structure that would keep people swiping.

✅ 1 LinkedIn carousel outline (6–10 slides) written in a Google Doc
✅ A short note (100 words max) on how your structure optimizes for comprehension and shares

Task 3 – AI-Enhanced Workflow

Objective
‍
Demonstrate your ability to use AI intelligently to scale high-quality content without losing tone, nuance, or authority.
‍
Prompt
‍
1) Write a prompt for an LLM (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) that can take a past Rian Doris YouTube video script — use the Intrinsic Motivation video as your example — and convert it into a Substack-ready article with minimal human editing.

2) The resulting article should preserve Rian’s voice and Flow State’s tone while feeling natural and readable. And it should be based on the formats that work best on Substack.

3) Test your prompt on three distinct “content sections” of the Intrinsic Motivation transcript (beginning, middle, and end) to demonstrate versatility.

4) Iterate your prompt until the results are polished and publication-ready.

✅ Three resulting Substack article drafts (one per video section)
✅ 3–5 bullet points summarizing what you learned about prompt design, refinement, and AI-assisted writing
